Spam callsthat never ring.

Kansel learns which numbers belong to brokers, telemarketers and loan pushers from people reporting them, then rejects those calls on your phone before it rings. It never reads your contacts or your call history.

Kansel is not in the stores yet. Coming soon to iPhone and Android.

  • Free to start
  • Blocking happens on your device
  • Contacts never uploaded

How it works

From one report to everyone's protection

No magic and no snooping. Real reports from people like you, a review step that prevents abuse, and blocking that happens on your own phone.

  1. 1

    The community reports

Got a spam call? Report the number and pick a category: marketing, real estate, loans or fraud. Every report is tied to an account, which is what keeps fake reports out.

  2. 2

    Kansel confirms

One report is never enough. A number is confirmed only after enough reports from trusted accounts, and a sudden burst from new accounts is held for review first, so nobody can frame an innocent number.

  3. 3

    Your phone acts

The list is downloaded to your device and matching happens there. With Pro the call is rejected before it rings; on the free tier you get a warning while it rings.

Free vs Pro

Start free. Pay only when you want total quiet.

Everything that protects you and builds the community list is free. Pro adds one big thing: the spam call never reaches you at all.

Privacy promise

What is on your phone stays on your phone

Kansel does not need your data to protect you. It is built the other way round: the list comes down to you, your data never goes up to us.

  • Your contacts are never uploaded

Kansel does not even ask for the contacts permission.

  • Your call history is never uploaded

We do not know who called you or when, and we never access call audio.

  • Blocking happens on the device

The community list is stored on your phone and the system matches callers locally, even offline.

  • Reports are tied to an account

That is how we stop malicious reports. A reporter's identity is never disclosed to anyone.

Android and iPhone

Built on the system's rules, not on hacks

Kansel uses the official call-blocking mechanisms that Android and iOS provide. That comes with a few differences you should know about up front.

Android

The system call-screening role

You approve Kansel as your call-screening app once, and it then works quietly in the background. No contacts permission, no call-log permission.

  1. 1Open Kansel and tap “Grant permission”
  2. 2Choose Kansel as the call screening app
  3. 3Done. Protection runs in the background
iPhone

A one-time switch in Settings

iOS requires you to enable any call-blocking app yourself. You only do it once:

  1. Settings
  2. Apps
  3. Phone
  4. Call Blocking & Identification
  5. Turn on Kansel

These are iOS rules, not Kansel's

  • Calls from numbers saved in your Contacts always come through, even if they are on a block list.
  • Blocked calls still appear in Recents: your phone does not ring, but iOS logs them.

Was your number listed by mistake?

If your number, or your business's number, is flagged as spam and you believe that is wrong, submit an appeal. Every request is reviewed, and if it is accepted the number is removed within 24 hours.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Still have a question? Contact support.

Is Kansel free?

Yes. Reporting, looking up any number, call-time warnings and your personal block list are all free. The Pro subscription adds auto-block: confirmed spam never rings. It costs EGP 29.99 a month or EGP 149.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan.

How does a number get listed?

Through user reports. When enough trusted accounts report the same number it shows as “suspected”, and once it reaches the confirmation threshold it becomes “confirmed”. If a number is suddenly reported by new accounts or all at once, we review it before trusting the reports.

Does Kansel read my contacts or call history?

No. Kansel does not request the contacts or call-log permissions. The list of spam numbers is downloaded to your device, and the system matches the incoming caller against it locally.

Why does iPhone need a setup step?

It is Apple's rule for every call-blocking app: you have to switch the app on yourself in Settings → Apps → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification. You do it once, and Kansel walks you through it inside the app.

How do I cancel?

In the store you subscribed from: on iPhone go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal and Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.

What if a legitimate number gets blocked?

It can happen, rarely, and no system can honestly promise otherwise. The owner of the number can submit a request on the appeal page; we review it, and if it is accepted the number is removed from the list within 24 hours. On iPhone, numbers saved in your Contacts always come through.

Does Pro guarantee I will never get a spam call?

No, and we would rather be straight about it: Kansel rejects numbers that are confirmed on the list. A brand-new number that nobody has reported yet will get through, and that is when your report protects the next person.
