Kansel learns which numbers belong to brokers, telemarketers and loan pushers from people reporting them, then rejects those calls on your phone before it rings. It never reads your contacts or your call history.
How it works
No magic and no snooping. Real reports from people like you, a review step that prevents abuse, and blocking that happens on your own phone.
Got a spam call? Report the number and pick a category: marketing, real estate, loans or fraud. Every report is tied to an account, which is what keeps fake reports out.
One report is never enough. A number is confirmed only after enough reports from trusted accounts, and a sudden burst from new accounts is held for review first, so nobody can frame an innocent number.
The list is downloaded to your device and matching happens there. With auto-block on, the call is rejected before it rings; without it you get a warning while it rings.

Privacy promise

Android and iPhone
Kansel uses the official call-blocking mechanisms that Android and iOS provide. That comes with a few differences you should know about up front.
You approve Kansel as your call-screening app once, and it then works quietly in the background. No contacts permission, no call-log permission.

If your number, or your business's number, is flagged as spam and you believe that is wrong, submit an appeal. Every request is reviewed, and if it is accepted the number is removed within 24 hours.

Yes, Kansel is completely free during the launch period: reporting, looking up any number, call-time warnings, your personal block list, and auto-block too. Auto-block only needs you to sign in with Apple or Google and switch it on in the app. If that ever changes, we will tell you well in advance.
Through user reports. When enough trusted accounts report the same number it shows as “suspected”, and once it reaches the confirmation threshold it becomes “confirmed”. If a number is suddenly reported by new accounts or all at once, we review it before trusting the reports.
No. Kansel does not request the contacts or call-log permissions. The list of spam numbers is downloaded to your device, and the system matches the incoming caller against it locally.
It is Apple's rule for every call-blocking app: you have to switch the app on yourself in Settings → Apps → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification. You do it once, and Kansel walks you through it inside the app.
Make sure protection is on and the list on your phone is up to date in the app. On iPhone, also make sure you never called that number yourself: on iOS 26 a number you dialled keeps ringing until you delete your calls to it from Recents. It can happen, rarely, and no system can honestly promise otherwise. The owner of the number can submit a request on the appeal page; we review it, and if it is accepted the number is removed from the list within 24 hours. On iPhone, numbers saved in your Contacts always come through.
No, and we would rather be straight about it: Kansel rejects numbers that are confirmed on the list. A brand-new number that nobody has reported yet will get through, and that is when your report protects the next person.
